Ectopic Beats

Dear all, what is your experience on ectopic beats? I had my ablation done on Apr 23rd, and I feel those more often now. I thinks they are linked to a (partial) AV block? Any experience how soon this will hopefully pass?

As we say in our fact sheet ectopics are a common side effect of ablation. They are actually a good sign that the heart is trying to go into AF and failing.

Ectopic beats are a normal function of a healthy heart and quite benign although when frequent they can be irritating I agree. Try the slow deep breathing exercise we promote.

I didn’t suffer as much as some but mine took 9 months to disappear- I still get an odd few here and there - normally when stressed, done too much or have virus of some type.

I had my ablation on April 7th and still have ectopic beats. Deep breathing stops them in a jiffy.

Quite common after ablation. Wouldn't hurt to eat very high magnesium foods ....... or take a supplement. Might smooth then out somewhat .......................

Don't worry about it . I experienced ectopics after ablation. They calmed down after a couple of months. I still get the odd one but infrequently. Ablation 30 months ago.
