I have had a terrible time with atypical atrial flutter for over 3 years now. it has become worse after falling from a ladder almost a year ago. Now it has been present night and day and only a couple of days a month of some respite. Good news! Last Thursday morning all symptoms dissapeared. I have checked with my Emay portable ECG and it says NO ABNORMALTIES. I still feel a little tired but this is just amazing. Puts me on a high after all that. I am on a waiting list for Pace and Ablait procedure. Has anyone else experienced this ? Will it last, will it it come back. Maybe im the recipient of a true miracle.

A FLUTTER MIRACLE ??
That's strange isn't it and you can't help but wonder why. Way back I discovered that artificial additives, especially sweeteners hidden in food were causing my attacks. Alcohol is also a trigger, could these things be your cause too!
Enjoy your AF free time and if you discover what was the cause please let us know.
Yes I am enjoying the AF free time. I guess anyone who hasnt experienced AF just wouldnt understand. I lead a pretty healthy life. No sugar no alcohol no smoking, have been a lifetime athlete. it doesnt explain why it comes and goes. looking at my diary it seems i have 2 months af and then back to fairly normal for 1 week. This time feels different. It will be interesting to see if it comes back in a week
Make sure you keep us informed as to how you progress, it does sound like a miracle! The life of Brian film is springing to mind. If I were you I'd be racking my brain trying to think what I'd eaten, done exercise wise, etc. If you think of something, then make sure you report it here, there might be a chance of being normal for all of we forum members
Quite often in the past, well twice actually, I've stopped taking my Flecainide and beta blockers around this time of year and had 6 months totally AF free. I tried it a third year, but had bouts of AF all the time so gave up.
I've now been in constant AF for over a year and on the whole can forget about my AF. I gave up giving it any attention and feel so much better for doing so. If I strap on my BP machine I'll become aware of my heart thumping and I hate that feeling. I think I have a very powerful mind.

I am a newbie dx but can relate to a powerful mind. Sometimes my aFIB “shudder” symptom which wasn’t present, kicks in after me thinking about it. It’s like I conjure it up!
I hope this will continue for you
Better get a proper ECG. Some mobile devices aren't good enough to pick up AFL.
I don't know how reliable your device is.
Slow regular flutter looks like normal rate sinus rhythm on the old Kardia. At rest it feels normal in my experience.
Lead II on either Kardia is the best trace to pick up the p-waves associated with AFL
I have atypical aflutter controlled with an ablation and some propafenone and diltiazem.
Its 8 days now since i went into remission from at least the debillitating effects of this. At times during the last year i felt as though I was standing on the edge of the cliff but now i feel i am standing a couple meters away from it. my emay portable ECG says each day NO Abnormalities and most importantly I feel NO abnormalities apart from the odd thump in chest with an involuntary sucking in, but i have experienced that quite a bit over the last 8 yrs. I am going to venture back out on my bike and see what happens to my heart rate under load and to see if i will stay in sinus rythm after. Meanwhile this present is so good I have getting back into those projects that you do when well with the enthusiasm it brings.
Just to be more precise about the cliff edge experience let me say that the times which are few I heve been on the edge were my best days, but by far i have been more than halfway down especially at night.
