I have been experiencing the above almost permanent since last Friday . I normally have PAF and ectopics from time to time .
It’s been suggested by my cardiac nurse to start Flecanide 50mg twice a day . I’ve had a blood test but no ecg/echo . They want a ecg 2 weeks after I start the flecanide.
I know it may sound obvious, but I have found that the professionals don't ask enough questions, so I will ask the obvious one. Has anything changed that could be responsible for your symptoms changing? Different foods, or change in brand of medication for example? Increase or decrease in activity levels? When my symptoms mutate I can often pinpoint something that's changed. Even TV habits. I started watching 'Line of Duty' late into the evening instead of my usual 'Place in the Sun' and that was enough to drive my adrenaline up and give me symptoms! A lot of my (and other sufferers) problems seem to be stomach related and certain foods such as fruit, salad and tomato based sauces can trigger dramatic symptoms. I have started taking Esomaprozole (Gaviscon Guardian/Nexium) and things have calmed down a lot. Even though I rarely get indigestion or acid reflux. My stomach seems to be sensitive to medication so just protecting my stomach has really helped. I hope you can find the cause and get some relief. Flecanide works well for lots of people but it made me worse which was very disappointing. I hope you have better luck if you decide to try it 😊

Those tummy things have magnesium in them. Magnesium stopped all my weird heart issues. And is helping with other things. Gavscon has half the RDA of magnesium ...so maybe the magnesium is helping as well?
PVC's and ectopic beats are quite normal for many people and EP's say not usually a problem.
I had continuous ectopic beats after my 3rd ablation, which were quite bothersome. They told me to just ignore it; but I didn't like that answer.
Luckily, I discovered a triple magnesium formula (400mg twice a day) that, within a week, calmed my heart beat to normal. I was really surprised, but happy. Also wondering why none of my doctors told me about the miracle of magnesium.
They never have returned. Might not work for everyone, but worth a try.

I had to take more than the packet described which was 250mg and was only taking one tab a day. When I took four it all stopped for me. But had been taking it for years at 250mg not every day as I'd forget...but 250 is only half the RDA. Now that I'm getting the RDA I'm recovering and haven't had an episode except two days I forgot and got dehydrated it came back at night so I don't dare take less than the 400mg.
Is it possible that the ectopics simply subsided as a result of the heart settling down after the ablation? It’s quite common to get frequent ectopics after that procedure. That said, I have started taking 200mg of magnesium taurate to try to prevent ectopics. They usually precede AF which I nearly always get at night. The other thing which I find is associated with them is inadequate sleep.

Vitamin sellers have many formulations of magnesium. I took a formula with 3 types of magnesium (there are many types). They are easy to find.

Sorry to hear about the increase in ectopics kalgs (I find i sometimes hate the ectopics more than the afib) . I have been experiencing them along with my PAF for approx 7 months now sometimes up to 10-12% of my heartbeats though other times in the 1000s, 100s or 10s.
I have have been put back on flecainide after a not very successful 1st ablation (in Oct 2020) and the flecainide 50 mg 2 x a day has helped with reducing the ectopics (mine are primarily premature atrial contractions) and for the time being keeping my afib more stable. I seem to tolerate flec quite well but we all are different when comes to meds.
Have found that deep breathing, mediation, walking, small healthy meals, mag taurate and balanced potassium also help to reduce the ectopics.
Hopefully you can find something that helps reduce your burden.I believe in severe cases like when 25% or more of heart beats are ectopics (and constant) there can be greater risk for heart failure and they may look at ablation as a potential treatment. Bit harder though to ablate for ectopics.. Keep safe
