I have type 2 diabetes for thirty years but was put on metformin an year ago.
I have no pain in legs etc but have sensitive to touch pain in chest muscles. Flashing pain comes and goes every few minutes. I am on 150mg pregabalin twice a day with not much difference. Any tips to reduce pain or cure...

First, clean up your diet. Eat low glycemic ... less refined carbs ... more protein and good fats. Try a couple 24 to 36 hour fasts a week. This burns up excess glucose in body.
Then, there are lots of supplements that heal diabetic nerve damage ... and sometimes get total nerve regeneration.
NerveRenew is popular and sometimes it resolves pain, but takes 4 months to work (although some people get immediate relief). Chromium supplement, cinnamon tea or supplement, R Lipoic Acid, and Benfotiamine supplements combat it. L-Histidine, Lion's Mane Mushroom, and L-proline regenerate the nerves. Some people say Amla powder reduces the pain and burning of diabetic nerve damage.
