I am a 41 year old male with complex atrial arrhythmias and narrowing pulmonary veins and also a dilated aortic root opening at the SOV. I have been exhausted and out of breath and now I seem to have some stomach issues and just wondering if anyone else had there's side affects on Sotalol? It hasn't done any good as I still have arrhythmias on it too...Thanks for your time 🙏

Sotalol and Stomach pain and aches , also experiencing nausea everyday . Wondering if others have experienced this ?
You need to consult with the best EP you can find and/or televisit with. These are the people who deal with complex cases.
I've never taken the drug you mention. But, they all have side effects to some degree or another.
It may take a little time, but I'm sure a competent EP will have you stabilized soon. Hoping for the best for you . . . .
I would get back in touch with the cardiologist and the link between the stomach area and the heart is well known but complex. I have had a similar thing to you since late November but I'm not on sotalol. I'm seeing my cardiologist on Tuesday with my fingers crossed!

Just started on Sotalol and had some nausea which has improved.., says this drug works better the longer you are on it but like you still experiencing racing and irregular heartbeat with the addition of tremor! Oh joy. I don’t talk with EP for other two months but was told if have symptoms to call. I don’t think you should be having stomach issues so contact them pronto. healthline.com/health/sotal...
Hello Fryguy - as you’ll have seen from my posts re Sotalol I didn’t like it it didn’t help me in any way - but please be guided by your EP . Cathy
I can only tell you of my experience taking Sotalol for about nine months. It was the worst medication I have ever been prescribed. I spent most every day on the sofa or in the bed so exhausted. I really thought my life was over, and it was as far as being the person I was before taking it. I could barely stand for more than a few minutes without nearly fainting. It dropped my BP and pulse rate too much. Fortunately I was led to a different Electrophysiologist who suggested ablation on my first visit. I gladly agreed. I was able to stop the medication after three months. Prayerfully, I will never have to experience side effects like those again. I hope you find someone who can offer you a better solution to your condition.
I was on Sotalol for too long also and had the nausea and extreme tiredness the whole time I was on it - 4 years from memory , didnt stop me from having any attacks and only had relief when changing cardiologists and changed to Flecainide and Diltiazem .
Pulse rate was usually in the low 40s. which explains the lack of energy
I have been on 2x40mg of Sotorol since September last year. For the first few months l was exhausted and never really felt particularly well and had some stomach issues, especially when taking it with simvastatin, which I have now changed to Atorvastatin. Since then l am able to tolerate it quite well, so much better than either Bisoprolol or Flecainide, which were horrendous drugs for me with multiple side effects. I had an cryoablation in January and am still taking it. l still have some runs of afib but my BP is fine and the tiredness has gone. I would say stick with it for a little while longer.
