I have been takin apixaban since early December 2020, and since the end of the year I have had almost constant indigestion (and gas). Antacid prescription meds haven't worked. I have been advised by a medical expert to change to Edoxaban as it's not loaded with lactose.
Anyone else experience the same and made a switch?

I always take a little something with my pills, say a cookie or a few almonds etc.Have you seen this ;
I have not had indigestion feelings. But I need to eat with Apixaban. And that means a proper meal like with cheese or similar or I get a gnawing pain. It’s really important to eat with Apixaban. For some people I think ironically you could be at risk of a stomach bleed if you don’t.
Thanks to all for your advice. I have taken Apixaban with my meals and that did make a marginal improvement. So I will try the Edoxaban with it’s lower/no lactose.
You need lansoprazole from doctors nothing wrong with apixaban.ive been taking them for 7years .I have no stomach problems.i did for 3 months before I had them .felt like someone sitting on my chest.all my problems were caused by dehydration and 10 blood clots.
