The AFib Cure

The Kindle version of “The AFib Cure” has been released and I downloaded a copy of it last night. So far, I have only dipped into it but my immediate impression is that it is very good- full of excellent and up to date tips and suggestions- e.g. on fasting)-with which I was unfamiliar. It would be particularly useful for someone just diagnosed with AF, but even “old hands” would benefit from it. The authors -one of whom is academically high-powered- have a qualified idea of “afib cure” but the book is no less valuable for that. I hope the moderators will allow discussion of the book here as some people may have much to gain from it imo. I hasten to add that I have no link whatsoever with the authors or the publishers!

Its a book just published. I’m not aware of a website (although there might be one). I’m still reading the book at the moment so there is nothing specific which I want to discuss yet. The book was mentioned by other posters some time ago and I imagine when a number of people have read it there will be some discussion.

From what I understand, the cure is ablation, & as many times as necessary, until you no longer have a fib. To my way of thinking, this is not a cure (although it maybe eradicated for some individuals and therefore considered a cure) as afib often may revisit you and often, new areas of the heart need to be a ablated. I have NOT read the book so I don't know really what I'm talking about except relative to my contacts & discussions with other people who read it and reviewed it. It could just be a matter of semantics, perception, vocabulary, and definitions. I hope you will make another post after you read the book and let us know if anything has been clarified for you about the cure for afib. Thank you!
