You should go and see your doctor about it very soon. I know what you mean about moving better when you get going!

It is probably quite unconnected to your AF or the drugs you are taking.

I have been reading the forum for Fibromyalgia in parallel to this forum, for years, so would say that your symptoms largely remind of those of Fibromyalgia. It is quite possible to have both issues together, cardiac arrhythmia and fibromyalgia, so try to research this way. Prolonged taking of beta-blockers may also be contributing factor for Fibro.

You have some serious symptoms. I suggest you write your own post where you will get a lot of comments from the members here.

Please call your doctor as there can be myriad causes for your symptoms. One thing you should have checked is your potassium ( K ).

Lasix can cause a low K, which can result in muscle spasticity and pain, as well as cardiac arrhythmias. Hope you get a proper diagnosis and symptom relief..

So sorry to hear you are in such pain. Pain you describe is probably inflammatory in nature.

Try to eat an anti-inflammatory diet. No gluten (oatmeal is probably OK) ... no white rice (brown is OK), potatoes. NO highly processed foods. NO sugar. Cut back on high-sugar fruits. No soda pop. No alcohol. No snack foods. No fast food. Limit coffee. No candy. Limit meat to occasional pasture-fed organic source. NO vegetable oils in food or for cooking. Use olive oils or coconut oil. Absolutely no MSG or food colorings. Eat a low-glycemic diet.

Eat close to nature. Organic salads. Lots of filtered water. Healthy foods with few ingredients on the list. Eat salmon or other non-polluted wild caught fish.

We have a lot of anti-inflammatory supplements in the USA. Check with your doctor before you try any. Eat tart cherries .. or, take the extract. Krill Oil (a form of fish oil. Check with doctor). Magnesium is calming and good for heart rate and rhythm. Quercitin and Brome lain are anti-inflammatory. CBC Hemp Oil (don't know if you can get in UK, but popular in US). Lots of anti-inflammatory teas out there: chamomile comes to mind. Check on internet.

I use a homeopathic-based cream that works well for pain called TOPRICIN. Don't know if they have it in UK. But, should be something similar there. Took throbbing toothache-like pain away from my knee in under 4 days. Impressive!

Good Luck! I hope you find something soon to break the 'pain' cycle. I'm confident if you incorporate some form of my recommendations in your weekly routine you will find, in time, some comfort.

One final thing, statins can cause what you describe. Many people had to discontinue because of negative side effects.

Please speak to a GP. I had persistent AF and after taking a new anticoagulant I had pains throughout my body. Within 30 minutes of getting up in the morning I would stiffen up.I went to the doctors and had numerous blood tests.

I was found to have an auto-immune condition called polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR).
