Hi. Just would like to ask people
In this forum of their BP when they are in AF and HR of about 120 to 160. What would your BP reading be normally? Is it usual to have them fluctuate or have. Low systolic of below 100? Thanks.

G'day Spritzer,
Well prior to AF my average BP was always around 136/80 or 85.
The day AF hit me it started off at that but progressively during the day it dropped to 76/50 at which point my GP hit the 'Red alert' and that saw me admitted to A & E.
Nowadays, with only one AF event behind me since April 2015, my BP is steady at around 126/70 with HR around 65.
Unfortunately at the moment I can't find my BP records of the one day in April 2015 but I am fairly sure my HR was 149 so I'm guessing the BP was 'silly readings'.
John
Thanks John.
If you are using a home monitoring BP cuff, forget it, the readings will be wildly inaccurate if you are in AF.
When I go in to AF, my HR is about 195 and my blood pressure goes through the roof, something like 205/105 IIRC
Thanks Mike.
Normally my BP is between 120/130 stystolic. When in fast AF or flutter it regularly drops under 100 systolic, worse if I'm asleep..... and always panics them and results in increased observations.
