Went for my holter x

Hi everyone,

Well I did go for my holter so thank you all so much for easing my fears.

I was disappointed at the hospital as there were hardly any gel pumps ot cleaning stations available and when i did find one it was empty, luckily I had my own stash of spray. Plus it was very busy. I was a bloody nervous wreck when I left, my other half is taking it back for me next week, I ain't going back!!

So my ticker is playing up as per so hopefully will all be recorded and find out what is going on.

More good news, I wrote to my EP before Christmas as I was so depressed with the constant horrible and debilitating symptoms and said I need his help, Ive have over 5 years of this constantly, 15 cardioversions and 2 ablations and can't cope anymore mentally or physically ... i just told him the truth.

He wrote a very kind reply staying from my ecgs he read that the arrythmias are in the atria and not reaching the ventricles, which I had been told this before and hopefully the holter will show more. Plus I'm next on the list for an ablation. 3rd time lucky I hope. I am just so pleased he got back to me and we have another plan.

Pleased to hear things are moving forward for you. Sometimes we have to open our heart, sorry for the pun, to our medics and stress just how awful we are feeling. Its good yours has taken notice and responded to you. A clear way forward is crucial for our emotional health while trying to get our hearts under control. Best wishes.

Yes I agree. I sometimes think I'm a pain in the bum but I think you really have to push for treatment and I have since day one, I cant carry on like this. I read the letter back I wrote to him and really was brutally honest about the state I'm in, but he's seen me nearly naked on the ablation table twice, asked him to marry me when I was coming round from the ablation so the days of embarrassment are long gone!!! Xx

I hope you're scheduled with a fantastic EP ... and that the procedure is a major success! I hear many times the 'third' one is the one that knocks AFIB out!
