It is included in the booklet on ablation available as download from AF Association. I know it was included in the last re-write I proof read a few years ago but have heard little of it since.

Ooh the EP mentioned is based at my NHS trust hospital, too!

The article says that the patient mentioned is still on her meds almost a year after the surgery - would this be normal practice?

I imagine that would depend on each individual patient and also on the consultant and their usual practices. I would still be kept on anticoagulants - the only medication I am on for AF whether I had a successful cardioversion or ablation. I have had 3 successful cardioversions - still in NSR from the last one last February and had 3 cancelled ablations due to covid - though one was cancelled because I couldn't get to the hospital on the date given as only given 4 days notice.
