Drug interactions

Is anyone on Sotalol, anti-coagulants and Anxiety medication? I can’t take SSRI’s, as they have red flag warnings against them on my NICE drug interaction list.Dr has given me Diazepam, but it can only be taken for a short time as it’s addictive. If anyone could help me, I could look it up and discuss with my Dr. Thanks. Sotalol seems to have so many drugs that interact with it, I’m beginning to wish I’d not been put on it.

Thanks for replying. Hope you don’t mind me asking, but 1/2 a5mg tablet is almost the same as the 2mg dose I was given, did you take 5mgs and are coming off that dose, or was that the dose you have always had and how often and for how long did you take it and what happened when you tried to stop it?

The Cardiologist says to take the 5mgs but because I have never been on these things I was concerned and asking the Pharmacist advised me to take 1/2 and see...then realized that was enough for me and I started to take 1/2 every few days. Noticing that each time I didn't followed asleep after a few minutes I needed the Diazepam so went to take it. As it happened, I was thinking I needed it because the Dr. says so but watching myself, I try to stop and I did it, since then I just do some slow normal breathing in through my nose and out through the mouth and thinking how good would be no to became dependent and it relaxes me and go to sleep, already about 2 weeks without

I used to be on Sotalol but a specialist said it was a waste of time and started Metoprolol and the anticoagulant Pradaxa, much better but I need another check up

Thanks, I was given Sotalol for SVT, which I’ve had since I was 22 and it seemed to work better than the beta blocker I was on before, but they kept me on it when I developed PAF. I asked Dr about changing it, but she said to stay on it
