Hello and welcome to the forum. Arn’t you lucky living in New Zealand!! Here in the UK there are around 1.5 million folk with AF and probably a good few more that have it and don’t know it, so quite a lot are fortunate to be fairly asymptomatic. As long as the AF is controlled and if necessary, folk are taking anticoagulants, there is no reason why they should not lead relatively normal lives. A good friend of mine is in his 80’s, he has had AF for years and just had his second Covid jab and he often says he wonders what all the fuss is about!

Take care and enjoy your summer.......

Welcome Bertson - this is where I too learned that my AF wasn't going to kill me and that I could lead a normal life again.

Best forum there is for keeping up-to-date with others' experiences, advances in treatments, new medication and support if things get a bit too much. Welcome!
