I have a one off vaginal small bleed. I am post menopausal. Does anyone think this could be with taking Warfarin ? I am really worried in case it is cancer.. I don't have any other symptoms.

You really need to discuss with your doctor asap. Hopefully it's nothing to worry about but best to be sure.

Warfarin doesn't cause bleeding.

It could possibly be caused by an erosion on the neck of your womb and if so antibiotics could soon clear it up. Get it checked out as soon as you can though.

Depends how post menopausal you are blips can happen for a while . I take HRT and get “shows” from time to time as hormones even on HRT. ANY unusual bleeding should ALWAYS get checked out not worth the risk . Hope you are ok

Hi benmaise, this happened to me a several years ago. It is post menopausal bleeding so you will need an ultrasound to measure the thickness of your uterine lining. .if its a bit thick, they will want to do a D & C and pelvic exam etc under anaesthetic . I was told by the gynaecologist that its very common and is rarely cancer. So try not to worry. It was a one day procedure, home the same day, and ive never had any more bleeding since. I hope you get the tests and treatment asap so you can put it behind you, as the waiting is the worst part .

No, all post menopausal bleeds need investigation so please contact your GP who in turn will send. you to see a gynaecologist - this happened to me about 4 months ago, I was seen within days, investigation made and I got the all clear BUT it should never be ignored.

I had that a few years ago, but I wasn’t on blood thinners then. I went to the doc and was sent for a biopsy, then for a d&c. Turned out that the skin, which gets thin there as you age, had become irritated by the amount of walking I was doing. I was given pessaries. Please go to your doctor, don’t ignore it, it could be very little.
