I rang direct to the private hospital I chose here and got an appointment within days.I then went on same EPs NHS list.
Some ask for referral from GP I believe.
The best for me was the time to talk properly and the short wait.
Best wishes
Thanks Wilsond I talked to gp tea time He was referring me so asked him to make it’s a private refer as years ago I saw a good A/f dr but I only got a/f occasionally and be taken to a and e and realised it would happen about 9 hours at night I decided I could cope witha/f at home as I could sleep on it knowing it stopped in morning but this time it won’t go away so see Afdr thanks as I was going to phone duchy but as I talked to gp asked him to do it If it takes a long I’ll phone duchy thanks again
Good luck and write all your questions down on a pad, with space in between to write down their answers. Take your time to write them carefully !
I asked
" what are the % of success "
" How do you define success?"
" Is the ablation just for QOL?
Or is it known if it can protect the heart therapeutically?"
" If you were me ,would you have it done ?"
" How many do you do it per year and your success rate?"
" Is my medication correct as I wait for ablation?"
" Will it be you or another consultant doing it? If so how do I check their profile ?"
Just thought I'd share some ideas .
