It’s been 7 weeks post ablation for atrial ectopics, and I still get ectopics every day/other day. I’m beginning to think the procedure was a complete failure. Over the weeks, just when it seems as though the ectopics have settled a little, I try to get a bit of exercise, and then boom, the ectopics come back on again.
Been given bisoprolol 0.5mg but have not taken it in hopes that the ectopics settle down on their own. The possibility seems bleak at the momentz Does anyone else have the same/similar symptoms or experience that is remotely close to mine?

thanks Bob. Yeah I realise that there is a possibility that ablation may not have worked for my case (ectopics). In fact, they were initially looking for AF, but couldn't induce any. However, they did noticed some ectopics, which were then targeted and ablated. My worry is that the ectopics that I am still experiencing now may degenerate into and trigger an AF. I guess only time will tell. Thanks Bob!
thank you for this answer, I have been recently diagnosed with ectopics and on bisoprolol1.25mg. Iam still getting them even when heart rate drops to 60. ihave not seen cardiologist yet due to pandemic. if no ablation in uk for ectopics , then whats the next step for treating it here.
I think i mentioned this before but 7 weeks is still early in the heart recovery, what sort of exercise are you doing that sets it off? i'm 15 months post abalation and still get the skipps here and there
hello Padayn, thanks for your reply. the simplest exercises seem to trigger the ectopics. For example briskly climbing up a few flights of stairs. Basically anything that involves the heart breaching 130BPM. Makes me feel so useless and helpless. Are your ectopics triggered on exercise too?
I am about one year post-ablation for AF. I get ectopics if I go above 120 bpm when exercising and they can last for hours. I just changed my work-out to be longer but less intense.
Hi I also had 2 ablations just for ectopics but unfortunately they did not sort the problem I am now on 100 Flecanide and 5 mg of Nebivilol which does give me some normality, however stairs hills or fast walking will bring them on immediately also diet is significant with caffine cheese sugar and crisps being the main culprit! Hope yhis helps, thanks Ingrid
I had ablation 8 weeks ago I was fine for 10 days and then I started getting AF every other day especially after meals and or climbing stairs other times I feel a flutter in my chest. I felt awful after my ablation but regained my feeling of energy but I am limited by AF. I did have chest pains after the procedure.
