If you are getting neck pain, I would suggest that you dial the NHS 111 number and ask for advice.

Hi Mufc.

Here is a Google link about the med below although I'm sure you have already seen it.

nhs.uk/medicines/bisoprolol/

If you have doubts seek medicial attention for sure. However I assume you are taking the medication as a 'newbie' to it ? It can take a while for your body to adjust to a new medication.

However if you have any doubts at all please seek a medic's advice. It is always a worry when you first start a new med and often we find things in the information leaflet and panic (I know I do).

I'll still say speak to a medic or doctor if you have concerns - play safe is my motto. Are you based in the UK ? If so try 111 and see what they say. If it get's any worse though please contact the emergency services.

I'm think you'll be just fine but stay on the safe side. I'm sure you needn't worry but get it checked for piece of mind if nothing else.

Please update the thread on how you get on.

Best.

Paul

PS - Jean and I posted at the same time. Our advice was the same - dial 111 just to 'double check' every thing ;-) Maybe it's worth the call to them.

I can't do other than agree with the advice given. Most importantly don't panic.

Mufc11,

I get a lot of neck pain still, I’ve put it down to carrying heavy cameras on my right shoulder over the last 30plus yrs, but semi retired now and I still get neck pain like a trapped nerve feeling also aches as well.

I’ve not associated it to taking Bisoprolol, I may need to look into it further as I’ve been taking it for over two years now and my neck prob is constant so it could be the Bisop as well.

Is there any reason why they say call emergency number if you get neck pain from taking Bisoprolol?

Don’t worry but it is just neck pain is one just one of the markers for a heart attack and the drug we take messes with that ticker so they have to be super serious about it as a side effect
