Just over 7 months post ablation

Woke up this morning to find I had an unwelcome visitor! Didn’t feel great so got my Kardia out and I was in AF! It lasted for about two and a half hours and I then reverted to NSR. All had been going so well with just some ectopics now and again, let’s hope it was just a fleeting visit! Just goes to show the beast can rear it’s ugly head when you thought all was well and shows that it is good to be anticoagulated even if you think it’s not necessary. Fingers crossed 🤞

Keep safe everyone.

I hope so, although I did have a short run last night and again this morning! Will probably email the arrhythmia nurses at BHI Monday morning. How are you doing?

Hi Jo sorry to hear about the AF rearing it’s ugly head. You have been my model as I am only a few months behind you and at BHI so I feel frustrated for you that it has come back. Can you think of anything you have done that might have set it off in terms of exercise, lifting, doing too much , lack of sleep, alcohol, caffeine or food? It would be so much easier if you could see a cause. I find the cause is often several hours before the AF which requires a certain amount of detective work! Do let us know what the Arrythmia Nurses say.

No can’t think of anything at all, hadn’t done anything different exercise wise, or eaten/drunk anything different and hardly touched alcohol since ablation. I have had a few more ectopics than usual so whether they could have triggered it, who knows! Have had episodes each day since Friday whereas before ablation I was in persistent AF. I’ve got my email together with some Kardia readings to send off first thing in the morning! Hope all is good with you!

So far so good with me. Back cycling I’ve signed up to cycle 300 miles during September for Cancer Research which will be a good test!

Same thing here. 7 mos of rock steady beats since my first and only Ablation in June and I woke up yesterday in AFIB. Been off all meds including Eliquis since Christmas. Upping my electrolytes, magnesium, D3, water, Lemon Balm chamomile tea, potassium and have added a cup of cranberries to my berrie banana protein greens powder smoothies. As well as upping my protein consumption. Adding back meditation and deep breathing.
