1 month post ablation!

Hi all! On Tuesday it was officially one month post ablation, and I’ve been feeling better day by day. Mostly, my mental health has suffered tremendously during this recovery. Before the procedure exercise was my therapy, and now that I can’t really do that for a few months I’m really suffering. I feel gross and the fact that I can’t do anything about it has really affected me. I’m wondering if anyone has had experience with this, and if so, any advice?

Thanks,

Bryce

Hi Bryce,

It’s great that you are feeling better with days passing by. How are yours palpitations now?? I will complete my one month mark on 22nd August and started feeling that slowly I am getting my energy back as days pass by, however I still get lots of palpitations and ectopics which were not there before ablation.

My advice will be to just hold on and let time heal your heart. You can include short easy walks in your daily regime to feel better mentally. I walk around 30 mins daily and it helps me to overcome any anxiety/ depression.

Thanks

Anupam

Hi Anupam! I definitely still have the palpitations here and there but the beta blockers have helped a tremendous amount, now obviously I did the ablation so that I wouldn’t have to be on beta blockers for the rest of my life (I’m 21), so now that I’ve been on them for 3 weeks my EP wants me to slowly start to wean off of them, so I bought a pill cutter and plan on doing that within the next week. I’m glad to hear you’re gaining more energy! This definitely has not been a walk in the park like I was told it would be, but I’m gaining hope. Thanks for your reply!
