Hi, 3rd Cardioversion 4 weeks ago. This time it worked, however reduced 10 to 5 & then 2.5mg Bisoprolol... All the time feeling ghastly. Zero mg & feeling great. A week later back in AFib. Back to 5mg & rhythm returned to normal, but the 5mg causing me to feel ghastly again. Really lucky as I’ve been seen by a Cardio Nurse, who is trying her upmost to get me sorted. 5 weeks in a row, had an appointment, inc ECG on each occasion. Seems like a balancing act. All the time on Bisoprolol my HR at 38/40. So no easy answer.! Time to see the Nurse again.!.!

I wonder if just increasing your Bisoprolol when you have an attack of AF would be the answer?

Hope your AF nurse can get this sorted.

Hi Jeanjeanie50, well the nurse put me directly back on 10mg, & we have now reduced gradually down to 2.5mg. Not sure if that was the problem though.! I may have triggered it with caffeine and alcohol from the day before. I don’t normally drink more than 1 coffee a day ( I had 3, because friends kept popping in for a chat in the garden ) Also I very rarely drink, but we had another friend to dinner ( Garden ). So who knows, but now going tea totally & caffeine free. See if that helps.!
