If you are very breathless for no reason I think you should jump in a taxi and go to nearest emergency department. May be quicker than phoning 999. This is my plan. Always keep £20 for taxi and packed bag at the ready as you never know when the attack will strike! Hope you get problem resolved.

I think you should ring 111 gif your breathlessness is bad or 999 if its really bad!

Have you thought to ring your GP and explain how you currently are Enjoy, and ask for an urgent referral back to Harefield. They can phone it through. I had a deterioration in my health after Christmas and matters were expedited back to Harefield.

As rosyG has already said, please ring, and if your breathing is really bad 999....

Please let us know how you get on Enjoy.

I too think you need to talk to your GP asap about how you're feeling. He can listen to your chest and from there decide what could be the cause and the tests you need.

As someone else has said don't hesitate to dial 111 or 999 if you feel the need. You certainly don't sound right if talking on the phone and opening doors makes you breathless.

Please don't put up with the way you're feeling and let us know your situation tomorrow. x

Please let us know if you go to A&E and that you are ok, I think you should at the very least ring 111

Please get your self checked out Enjoy- just because you were signed of once doesn’t mean you have to live with this breathlessness. Hope you take the advice from the lovely folks on this group and keep us posted.

As others have suggested, in the first instance you should speak to your GP stressing that you are experiencing new symptoms. He will be able to evaluate the situation and, most probably, propose tests. There are many possible causes-angina is one that springs to mind (although I stress that I am definitely not qualified to make a diagnosis). If you are experiencing the symptoms without cause, you need to call for an ambulance.

Have you recently started or stopped any medication? Breathlessness can sometimes be a side effect or adverse reaction to drugs. When things have settle down for you it might be an idea to review your medication with your doctor.

You don't say which class of Heart failure you have. I also have Heart failure and am having to go private to get a cpet test(cardiac/pulmonary exercise test). You may find Buteyko breathing exercises help but maybe your HF class has gone from 1 to 2 or 3 in which case your cardiologist may offer you a crt device.

If you are really breathless and very worried, please phone 999 and have an ambulance/paramedics come to you as unless someone drives you, your insurance will be null and void if you drive yourself. Also the paramedics will decide as to whether you should go into hospital. I was told they never mind being called out, better safe than sorry. I know we worry about calling 999 especially during this pandemic, but truly that's what they told me. GP's are very good, but of course they are not specialists. Hope you feel better soon.

Just seen your post and I hope you have been able to get some help. It’s not right to feel that breathless even in this heat. Please do as everyone suggests and call either GP or 111. You must be seen. Let us know how you are.
