2 weeks post 2nd ablation and still some left shoulder pain

Hi everyone

Did many people experience pain around their left scapula? I had this heaps in the first 10 days with some mild more generalised chest discomfort if I didn’t rest enough. On a good note, my heart has been behaving with virtually no skipped beats and NSR.

I was put on Colchecine this time to “reduce inflammation caused by the procedure”. Is this standard now? ( I didn’t have it last time when they zapped heaps more).

I started back at work today, taking it slow trying to not overdo it. Fortunately I’m only part time and I have warned the boss I will have times when I need to rest or even stay home.

However, I am over people asking me if my heart is now fixed and I’m fully recovered!

If you try to explain what’s involved and that you are still recovering they look at you blankly. Unfortunately you’re standing upright with no visible scars etc. At least people here understand so please excuse the venting.

Yes after my second ablation I had the most awful shoulder pain, unbearable on the second night after ablation. I spent the time pacing my bedroom and nothing helped. I phoned the number on the ward the next morning and because of chest pain as well they took me back into hospital. They couldn’t find anything wrong but said it was just inflammation. I feel for you as I’m always being told how well I look when I’m feeling rubbish.

I agree it’s so nice to be on here where people understand, good luck at work and hope you stay in rhythm.
