Hi all,

Can I ask do any of you suffer from swelling belly or other when you eat, does this make you feel light headed or set of an episode or anxious?

Trying to see the relationship between this and the heart, I am assuming there is.

Best

The vagus nerve is the main neural super highway twixt brain and many organs including stomach and heart so of course there is a connection . Use the search box top right for vagus nerve.

Bob thanks for this, yes i understand the concept that effectively everything is interconnected, what I struggle to understand is why the EP's etc do not look further into this and go for root cause type treatment?

Hope you are well during this lockdown

Best :)

I think the point is that you have AF therefor things will affect your heart. If you do not have the genetic pre-disposition for AF then nothing will trigger it. It may well be the people who have AF may also be pre-disposed to IBS for some genetic reason but could equally well have either or none at all. Don't make the mistake of thinking any of this is straightforward.lol 😁

:) but it is a journey none the less, the Vagus nerve is particularly fascinating as is the connection with the 2nd brain.

I assume because your vagus nerve is so important to many functions it is difficult/dangerous to mess with it?

I used to back in the day. Like having my gut attached to a garage air line!

Consulted a nutritionist, diet and sorted. Agree with BobD on vagus nerve.
