Any chance I’m a world record holder for cardioversions? My doc says I’m a miracle.

Life with AF
Really depends on how many in how much time, they're only really a temporary treatment to return you to NSR, not addressing the long term cause. How many have you had then? Put us out of our misery...
For the record, I've had 22 DC cardioversions and half a dozen chemical cardioversions but only 2 of those worked.
Hi. In the beginning ages 38 I had 3 chemical conversions with Rythmidan ( probably spelt that wrong!) since I’ve had 33 cardioversions, and two ablations. All worked for various time periods mostly only a year.
I was due to pop into at Thomas’s hosp, they were going into the chest and under the heart and laser the back of the heart then a month or two later back into the heart through the groin to laser the inside chambers for the third time. Covid took care of the last batch of treatments so maybe later this year.
The kick in the bum is that until I get my heart in sinus rhythm they won’t replace my knee! Got one done between episodes but no chance of the other, unless it holds for a year so the op can be planned. Too much for the NHS to get their act together despite many calls for that! The NHS front line staff are unreal and having two front line staff in my family I can only respect what they do, but the admin are a force unto themselves that even God can’t influence.
You poor things. I hope they find some way of treating you better in the future xx
