Pacemaker review

I believe that we are only legal to drive with a pacemaker if we have an annual review.

They phoned today to say that they had to cancel the appointment due to the virus - and could they do it in a year's time.

I spoke to someone, which might count as a telephone review, and they said that they would make an appointment for November.

Is there an official waiver of the annual check requirement?

My last pacemaker failed three months after a review - because the battery voltage was low, and it went into "emergency" mode. I felt rough, as my pulse rate was dropping at night - before I had the pacemaker it got down to 30 at night - and my SPO2 was down to 75!
