Anyone else experience nausea 7 months after starting Apixaban?

Side effects of Apixaban. I have felt sick a few times over last 2 weeks. Thought it might be a bug at first or my gallstones which haven't troubled me for 20 years or current situation. I see it's a side effect of Apixaban but not noticed before. I'm almost 76, relatively fit apart from af, weigh 9stone and am on 5mg twice daily. Can side effects develop over time? Should I contact GP for phone discussion?

Never had a problem with Apixaban.

What makes you think that Apixaban is the cause? Dangers of reading side effects is you sometimes develop them.

I certainly wouldn’t stop taking them but of course if it is troubling you then try for a telephone consultation.

Thank you. I knew I would get a reply from the faithful and experienced few. I would be relieved for it not to be Apixaban as in all other respects I'm happy with it. Have also a slight cold with it so I will just monitor it. Feel ok this morning.

I've been on it just over 4 months. No problems with it aside from the veins in my hands get prominent when I've been out in the sun and get hot. It's the one drug that I feel doesn't have side effects. All of my others do but luckily my body seems to have adapted. Monitor WHEN you feel the nausea - time of day, what you've been doing etc - and tell your GP if it goes on.

Yes, thought I would do that. Absolutely fine today so must be something else. Thank you for replying
