Dr Google informs me Agetil is Diltiezem, a calcium channel blocker and yes these can cause swelling of lower limbs in some people.

I take Diltiezem.Tildiem and have swollen feet, ankles and sometimes hands. If feet and ankles swell up too bad then I tend to place an ice pack/cold compress whilst i have my feet up on a stool.

The pharmacist in my Dr surgery said if after two weeks the swelling doesn't stop , he will give me water tablets. Another tablet I am wandering is there anything else natural I could do instead of taking yet another tablet to combat side effects

I was on diltizem and had terrible swollen feet so bad caused pitting in January I was changed to another calcium blocker and the swelling went immediately to the point I am now questioning wether i need to be on as many water tablets . Something to query when I next have a appointment.

Hi thanks for getting phoned the doctors this morning just waiting for them to get back to me . Did you have the feeling like you have walked through stinging nettles not underneath my feet, just ankles and half of my lower legs

It was very tight the skin on my feet due to swelling and bottom of legs near ankle even raising them made no difference. When I pressed my feet they would leave a big finger mark in them.

Hi dr phoned before he said persevere for another month . If no difference he will look into changing medicine. It’s just worrying when you see your ankles swell so much he said just elevate your feet
