Proud of the response locally to me, restores faith a little in people.

So many people were out in my street, found it all very emotional.

.....and a thought for the non medical partners at home of the 'front line' NHS and private medical workers!

Between shifts my wife and I have been using 'social separation' in the house for two weeks so far.......and I mean 24hr!

We live in a small cul de sac. Everyone out clapping. Amazing that a couple of locals must have saved fireworks from Nov 5 so had my usual jolt when they went bang.

My next door neighbour very kindly sent me a video of the applause and horn blowing on our street as I was on my way home from doing a 12hr shift on the ward ,so I missed it 😢 I would have loved to have been a part of it xx

Yes I do work for the NHS Flyer2820 but there are a lot of other people out there too who are putting themselves at risk on the frontline and I think they all need applauding too 👏

Lady Paula,

I agree, my wife and I have had our fair share of the National health over the last 3 years. You are all heroes. I was out yesterday with all the neibourhood applauding the heroes of the NHS. I say again. Thank you all. You have earned everyone's respect.

Best wishes Flyer.

We shouldn't forget all the other workers who are carrying on and risking their health.

My daughter is a police officer, still out working her very long shifts, not much in the way of PPE, not many people appreciate their commitment in this situation 🙁

I feel sorry for the people who work at the check outs in supermarkets. Imagine having so many people walking by and talking to you, also they've touched everything they've bought and you now have to pick it up to scan!!

Our friends in Spain told us that at our local supermarket there, rubber gloves at the door for everyone, no more than five people in the shop at a time, 2 metre rule strictly applied. All the checkouts have large film screens protecting the staff and payment cannot be made by cash.

I do, very much. But it needs to be highlighted.

We live in a small cal de sac too and everyone was out and we could hear many others in our small village - united we stand! We all owe the NHS so much.

We stood at the window on our street one of the main routes to the hospital 10 mins walk away. It was quite humbling, cheers errupted when ambulances passed and even the old grumpy codger nextdoor was out clapping.

The worst is yet to come and we aren't the only key workers in harms way albeit the ones that will be directly saving lives and losing some battles over the next few weeks.

Not that I'm tainting the sentiment towards our profession but we also stand with many other key workers keeping the nation safe, fed and running.

Absolutely Jed......a BIG team effort!

My wife and I went out at 8pm yesterday and We were overwhelmed by the rapturous applause from all around. Thank you all those working in the care of the community. My wife and I have been looked after incredibly well over the last 3 years and we cannot thank the doctors, nurses and all the staff enough for the care and professionalism we have been given.

WEL DONE YOU. THANK YOU, THANK YOU THANK YOU.

Regards Flyer.
