humor anyone or may be sarcasm

Sarcasm is a defense mechanism for pain. Anybody agrees? Anybody wants to share thoughts about loneliness and isolation?

You might be onto something. Teachers often use a mild form of sarcasm to deal with students who are a pain! I know that I did.

In terms of loneliness and isolation, we live just a mile from our lovely young grandson, who will be two in April. Up until last week, we saw him regularly, helping with babysitting. But no longer. The thought of our not being able to see or play with him is, frankly, breaking our hearts and requires a lot of diversionary thinking to keep the emotion at bay.

Hi - I teach English but only as a tutor now I'm sort-of retired. I think it'll be a really good while before the schools re-open myself. If there's no vaccine around, I just don't know what will happen.
