Hi i had my ablation about 3 weeks ago and im supposed to be going back to work tomorrow, called into work to check all was ok for going back to be told i had to check with my dr to make sure i was ok to go back because of the coronavirus before they would let me back (i work in a school) so i rung the drs who told me i had to speak to the cardiologist unit because they didn't know if i came under the vulnerable category, so rung the cardiologist n they said they didn't know either, i told work that having AF didn't put me in the vulnerable category but they said it was the fact that I'd had an ablation and thats what they are worried about, can anybody help with this, i can't seem to get any answers to get back to work
TIA

To be honest, as we say in our fact sheet on recovery (heartrhythmalliance'org/res... we are all different and it can be quite a long journey to full recovery. Please do not be in too much of a rush as your heart will be still healing for some months now.
In pre virus days, some young people were able to function normally after a few days whilst most of us were still struggling a month or two down the line, so why not err on the side of caution.
AF alone doesn't make us any more at risk of catching the virus but in your weakened state do you really want to take a risk?
