I was deeply miserable after an excercise triggered episode lasted 80 hours a couple of weeks ago . Thanks once again to this group for the support offered.

I went to see in Manchester UK a great cardiologist/ EP Ben brown who really reassured me and answered all my questions about what to do in the future and for the future. So I was in a well informed and upbeat mode when yesterday after stupidly doing some heavy lifting in the garage the dammed thing started again!

However this time I immediately took my pill in pocket, then after 1 hour had my beta blocker ( I think giving the flec time to act might help me) beta block is (2.5mg) bisoprolol but in addition I did three other things

1. Really was not excessively anxious

2. Ate a small but proper meal at the proper time

3. Carried on in a slow version of normal doing all I would have done

Normally I sit still don’t eat and become worried and anxious.

This morning my rate was 120 bpm at 9.30 but I felt fine ....two mins later 60 bpm sinus

One swallow does not make a summer but thought it might help similar stress bunnies to myself ... don’t let it get in your head if you possibly can

Well done! That’s the way to do it.

We learn as we go along. I found bending would often trigger an episode so I had to learn to crouch - heart liked it but my knees would protest somewhat!

Yes, well done.

It often takes years to be able to get to the stage where you can be relaxed when an attack of AF strikes. Stress certainly feeds it. I cringe when I think of the anxious fuss I used to make many, many years ago! I used to sit still too, terrified to move.
