Hi all. Thought i would add some post procedure comments. Ablation in November followed by severe migrains for a number of weeks alongsde an intestinal bleed contributed to xarelto. Feeling pretty bad for some time but a week in hospital with transfusions brought me back to some form of normality. Watchman in a week ago now and feeling ok but migrains again from the septum puncture again. I am back on xarelto also for 3mths while the device is settling in and then may be able to reduce it. Fingers crossed for no mre bleeding. Glad when all this is over as I'm so tired of feeling tired. On the upside AF is good only a few short runs which is to be expected at this time.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you too - sounds like you have been having a bad time but hopefully you are through the worst and I’m sure things will pick up soon once it all settles in. I sympathise because I also suffered a gastric bleed when on Xarelto and felt absolutely terrible until it was resolved- has anyone suggested you could try one of the other Noacs? I realised that it was upsetting my gut when I went back on it afterwards and my doctor changed me to Edoxaban and I feel a lot happier with that.
Wishing you a speedy return to feeling well again. Liz
Sorry to hear. I had a friend who had the identical trauma as you - no Watchman though and it took her some time to recover. Take care of yourself.
Hopefully you are on the road to a good recovery now. My EP is putting me forward to have Watchman device fitted. I'm in the UK so not sure how long the NHS waiting list will be. I have persistent AF and just taking Bisoprolol.
