Pins and Needles in my feet and irritable legs when in bed

Pins and needles in my feet and irritable legs at night ? I am taking 100mg Amiodarone at night and 5mg Bisoprolol twice per day. Could this medication be causing this problem. As well as feeling tired a lot of the time and not sleeping well since taking Amiodarone?

I also have restless legs mainly in evening, very hot feet when trying to sleep. On Bisaprolol 1.25mg & Apixaban, just been taken off the Amiodarone, but as it stays in the system for months I will be some time before I know whether it was that or if it's my present meds. Like you my sleep is disturbed, either can't get to sleep or stay asleep, it's tiring. Perhaps have a word with your GP?

Have spoke to Cardiology at Stoke and now take Passion Flower or Valerian Root to help my sleeping problem as the senior nurse I saw took Valerian. It’s not habit forming and helps me get to sleep and sleep longer. I have a review at Stoke soon as my doctor won’t change anything without Agreement from Stoke. Plus it takes three weeks to get to see my regular doctor ? Thanks for the reply.

I suffer a lot from pins n needles in my feet and my hands and 'shooting' pains in my legs so it's very interesting to read your comment. Actually, makes me feel that I'm NOT the only one with all these crazy effects of meds. I'm on Exemastane (breast cancer in 2015) and was assuming it's that drug causing the 'tingling' but perhaps it's my AF meds. Big discussion coming up when I see cardiologist next week methinks.

stay well,

Blue :-)

Magnesium taurate helped my restless legs.

I have restless legs, insomnia, hot feet or feet that feel wrapped in cardboard at night. Afraid to go to sleep lately

I am only on Flecainide and antidepressant tablets.

This might sound weird but....

Have you tried earthing yourself for ten minutes or so just before you go to bed?

Just stand outside in your bare feet (or with silver threaded socks on).

Stand on grass, soil, concrete or sand.

It costs nothing to try it - although you might get some funny looks.

I tried it and it works for me so I bought an earthing mat that goes in my bed and I rest my feet on it.

My wife said it made her feet feel cold but I felt the opposite - it made my usually frozen tootsies nice and warm.

I use Pico Liquid Remag magnesium ( Dr Corolyn Dean) for my afibs which helps. However lots of other people write about relief from restless legs and seem to get relief from magnesium or Remag as is sold. May be of some help. :))
