Increased heart rate and feel cold.

I have noticed over the past couple of days that my heart rate has increased by about 10 bpm and that I feel cold, particularly at night. This is in spite of having adequate blankets and a reasonable room temperature. My temperature seems to be normal at 36.9-37C. The heart beat is regular. As I am also coughing up a bit of phlegm, I presume this is just an infection and not AF related, but it does seem a little unusual amd I wondered what others think.

There is a lot of non AF related stuff going around at the moment especially at this time of year......

Yes- I hope it doesn’t prompt any PAF!

Yeah, very similar ......... just a response to winter I think. I'm feeling much the same, hate this rotten northern hemisphere winter, craps me off. Yeah, coughing, spluttering and this year has given me the worst sinuses ever to the point it affects my hearing. Must say though, my BP and HR are raised by up to 10 to 15 points, i.e normal 125/70/65 now regularly reads 135/80/70. No worries.

Great for taking orders from the wife ........... just don't hear her ! Seriously .............. hmmmm!

Just waiting now for a referral to an ENT. I cannot take any nasal sprays for I am on Warfarin. :-(

Hey - a thought ........... you guys and gals out there on these NOAC's, as a matter of interest can you use nasal sprays while on these new fangled anticoagulants.

Thanks for the reply- could you use a saline spray (I think it’s called Sterimar and you can buy it over the counter)? It’s good for nasal congestion, allergies, colds etc.; doesn’t contain any chemicals.

I’ve used that it is very good.

I think it is a bit beyond that now. The audiology tests I have undertaken are not just suggesting/ confirming sinus issues but also a condition that I've always associated with children - Glue Ear !

Not impressed by that at all nor by the options available - interestingly there are a number of 'Alternative' treatment options ........... and one in particular - that may be of wider interest to CDreamer and Jeanjeanie know their interest in diet - is a dietary treatment approach to treating Glue Ear, so have to do some investigating here.

Thing is I am already using a food plan/diet for successfully dealing with my AF. Trying to figure the connection with food/diet and Glue Ear.
