Hi everyone

Sorry I'm confused..recently seen my cardiologist..had not got my full clinical notes and no diagnosis of af..although I had been seen with af episode at same hospital .She has ordered an MRI stress test for me

Today I received a letter from that meeting..says I have mild MR and probable PAF

Can anyone advise please??

I suspect MR means mild mitral regurgitation which most people have. PAF obviously you know. Paroxysmal AF.

I suspect the heart valve is stressed by tachycardia or the arrhythmia and shows a very slight leakage as a result. My experience is that this clears up once the heart muscle recovers so you shouldn't be worried. A stress cardiac MRI is a state of the art diagnostic tool for clinicians, I gather, so you're lucky to be having one. It's a painless procedure but does take up to an hour inside the MRI "tube".
