Bisoprolol + indapamide

Had my bisoprolol reduced to 2.5 + indapamide 2.5.

I stopped taking higher dosage of bisoprolol for 4days and felt so much better.

See how it goes.

Interesting as it is diuretic used to lower blood pressure and as far as I know has no affect on AF. I was on it for some years till my BP started to go too low for me alongside Losartan.

Good luck! I'm on Apixaban 5mg twice and bisoprolol 5mg once. Started September 1st. Early November I had some high blood pressure readings in the evening. I had naively thought I wouldn't have high BP on taking these pills

Apixaban does nothing for high blood pressure as it is an anticoagulant much like aspirin.

Bisoprolol is a pro blocka that lowers one's heart rate and reduces the intensity of the heartbeats. The effect on blood pressure is rather small hence a calcium channel blocker or a dewatering tablet such as moduretic is taken as well to lower BP.

Thanks. I've taken ramipril for a number of years. I think I was particularly stressed on those occasions. I shall continue with the walking and yoga.

Hi Huntergatheter, I would just like to know in what way you feel better. I'm taking 7.5 bisoprolol.

When i stopped taking bisoprolol 10mg started feeling better almost immediately. After 3days felt great.

The side effects were horrible fatigue lack of energy etc.

Gp has lowered it to 2.5 with addition of indapamide 2.5.

So far so good.

I’m on 7.5 Bisoprolol and have now got use to it!! Took about 4 weeks. 10mg was making me very tired and fatigued very quickly so reduced. I Play golf x2 and walk x1 a week. Still think I’m operating at 80% energy. Roll on cardioversion and ablation!!

I felt tired and breathless when taking Bisoprolol. In September after a visit to A and E , I was prescribed 1.25 Digoxin additionally and the Bisoprolol reduced to 5mg. I also take Apixaban twice daily.

I have felt so much better since, with no breathlessness and more energy. Although in permanent AF , I have no symptoms. Fingers crossed, if I maintain this, I am happy to be monitored with no further interventions.
