Just returned from NY, where I was fortunate enough to spend some time with fellow afib patients as we looked at real world evidence and how it can augment clinical trials , and how valuable it can be in framing questions that patients find relevant to our conditions.
More importantly, I had an opportunity to spend some quality time with Flapjack and his wife. She is, indeed, a saint!

And... it was really great to finally meet the faces and personalities behind these typed words. We will be heading back home to Florida in the morning as we decided to stay 2 extra days after this great meeting.
Is there a website where we can read about the new research and outcome of the symposium? Anything in the near future for us afibbers? Lots of clinical trials and we will have to see their results which I hope is encouraging. Always looking for new treatments to help us. Thank you
Yes, it is good to know that there is research going on, especially if it acknowledges how different we all are. Shortly after I was diagnosed just over two years ago, I found the AFA site and saw that someone was asking newly diagnosed people to contact them for a research project but nothing came of it after I replied to them!
It was great for Arrhythmia Alliance and AF Association to meet some of our patients and caregivers. Thank you for supporting the event.
