Did he reduce the dose gradually? If not, then he should have done so.
I have recently been told to increase my daily 2.5 to 3.75 and it has not been easy although pre- ablation I was on 10 with no problems. I take these tablets at night to minimize side effects.
Hiya,he had been on 10mg daily for 10 years,a new Dr at the surgery said he should have a higher pulse rate, been 48 for years,BP pretty good. " But I think we need to reduce dose" , started on 7.5mg one week, then - 5mg daily for one week, now 3.75mg,this is 4th week now, his symptoms started 5 days ago,so yes reading between the lines,he has been reducing to quickly.tried to talk to our GP yesterday with no luck, will try again today.it's the strange sensation that he gets from shoulder up his neck, similar to his shingles sensation he sometimes has.no pain tho.any ideas,is this normal, nobody seems to know.
Hi Tricia - I have had the same sensations when I was on Bisoprolol 5mg, I cannot take more than that dose, I cannot function become zombie like on higher than 5mg. I was on it for 2 years before they started, they are really irritating and uncomfortable. I asked my GP and she did not know what was causing it, shrugged her shoulders and muttered she had not come across it before. It did last for about three months and then went.
I am now on Nebivolol because of breathing problems with Bisoprolol. It really does feel as if creepy crawlers are running around under your skin.
Hi cassie, thank you so much for putting mine and my hubbies mind at rest.hes been driving me nuts with this creepy Crawley feel ing.our Dr didn't have a clue either.husband had been on 10mg bisoprolol for many years, with no side effect, but 48 pulse rate, his high blood pressure under control.then at a review, his pulse rate for no reason had dropped to 37,,he was sent to A&E who monitored him for 3 hrs, sent him home reducing him to 7.5mg.back to Dr a week later, and this new broom sweeps clean Dr reduces it again to 5mg,back to our regular Dr a week later, ,and she reduces it to 3.75 three weeks on and the troubles begin, can't get an appt so waiting for a telephone consultation, myhubby says he's going back on 10mg,a stubborn man 😅 anyway this forum is telling me about so much that bisoprolol withdrawal brings.I try and get this across to him, but he needed to hear from our dr,that everything is ok
I've used this site for years for my b12 deficiency, another tale and another one Drs don't know a lot about.thank God for forums like this.many thanks Cassie
I too have had the "creepy crawly" sensation in my right shoulder area, I thought it was connected to my shoulder injury to which I had a couple of steroid injections but still get this feeling now and again.
