If you are on an anticoagulant and are stricken with a stomach upset for a few days how would you handle your medication?

If you mean sickness and diarrhoea then this can be problematic. Stay well hydrated and carry on taking the pills would be my advice. Some may still get absorbed. Why not ask you pharmacist?

Thank you for your comment. Sofar I have not had any problems but one day it may happen and vomiting up your medication could be a big problem.

That is why I changed to Apixaban, can be taken on an empty stomach and two doses per day.

Thank you. It`s possible to have a stomach upset that could last for days. That is when at least theoretically one could have a problem if ones Afib starts up and one is not taking i.e. Apixaban.
