Biosoprol withdrawal
I wonder if you gradually reduced the dose over a long period of several weeks as recommended.......
I had a tough time when I tried to reduce my dose myself. It's better to titrate off seemingly, reduce it gradually as the side effects of cold turkey aren't good.

It certainly is a strange drug thought it would be plain sailing after my ablation
Hi. I stopped immediately following my first ablation on instructions from EP. I had no side effects at all.
Nightmare horrible
After 7 weeks of Bisoprolol itchy painful rashes appeared, each lasting a couple of hours in one place, before turning up elsewhere on my body, arms or legs, or on my scalp or neck, but thankfully never on my face. They were there 24 hours a day, every day.
It took a further 4 weeks before they were accepted by the medics as a very rare side effect of Bisoprolol. I was on 2.5mg a day. I was told to stop them immediately for 28days, during which time I was prescribed antihistamines twice a day, followed by 28 days of 1.25 a day, then to drop taking any more.
I had no problems coming off Bisoprolol as such, except for a 'dry' asthma attack when my lungs just closed up. I spent two days in hospital having that sorted.
Unfortunately I still have urticaria daily, largely reduced by twice daily antihistamines.
Both Bisoprolol and Atenalol cause me to have angry red rashes around my ankles and on the tops of my feet. Both ankles ankles are swollen. I’ve been constantly tired so I’ve gradually reduced the dosage and about to stop taking it.
I urge anyone on beta blockers to approach a nutritionist. I seemed only to have my heart race and diagnosis when recovering from thw iccasional bout of of constipation. The nutritionist's info on regular eating and what to eat to suit me has enabled me to give up. I also have natural blood thinners which I monitor myself. Had not had any flutter/fibrillation for the 6 months since giving up the prescription drugs - probably just lucky - get advice.
