Morning. Does anyone else suffer from achy joints, especially a stiff neck, after a bad Af attack?

Had galloping heart for 3 days, heart settled at last but now feel like I ve been kicked by a horse!

I don't, and possible not many others have either as you have had any responses. But is doesn't sound pleasant - I wish you well.

Hi Lizzy :-) that sounds most unpleasant.

I am just wondering if you get tense and anxious during episodes of AF clenching your muscles in response .

I used to feel absolutely exhausted after an episode of AF I think because I fought it and tensed all my muscles in fear and anxiety. I don't anymore since I have learnt to accept the episodes and use relaxation techniques .

My episodes so far last a maximum of 15 hours so not as long as yours , I can imagine yor poor muscles suffering if you are tense.

Thanks so much for ur concern. Had never given my anxiety any connection to my aches - but must admit I do feel so stressed and tense when the episode shows no sign of ending.

Struggle to concentrate on trying to relax, must try and focus on my breathing and being calmer and see if it improves my aches.
