Morning Campers!
Well had it put on yesterday.First thing the young man (yes ladies, feel my pain!) was 'do you know the implications of having a 7 day monitor done?' I said ,yes I understand it is not to get wet,HOWEVER.....I was on the AF Association forum over the weekend, and was given varying experiences of this. Which type am I having and are the leads detachable for brief showers, and can I have some spare stickers in case they come off.I shall record the time on my diary that I expect you are giving me?
He reeled a bit and then smiled and said' Ok ,not often I do this but you are obviuosly geared up for this....' then proceeded to show me the box,and what to do if it resets itself during time off..basically keep pressing button green...where the wires go and the colour combo...quite right Bobd..gave me 3 sets of stickers and a diary and his number in case I get into a mess.
Its a 3 lead traditional style big box on a cord, with a big wooden bobble on it to adjust, just designed to keep you awake!!haha..
One monitor placed just under the throat,a good look in this heat!if only it was winter I coukd wear a polo neck! I have stuffed the box into my bra as it was irritatingly heavy hanging round my neck. I look suspicious!y like a suicide bomber and debating outfits for Monday as Im reading a poem at brother in laws funeral.Scarves I think.
So far so good,I dont need to press buttons if anything happens.
I did have a short run at 1 am,was startled out of sleep by a 3 ring cat fight outside our bedroon window but wrote down why.
So anyone having holter at University Hospital Coventry and Walsgrave, hope my experience helps.
Thanks to the support on this forum i shall have a much more comfortable and fragrant week! Thank you all, knowledge is power!!!!
