back in ED hoping ablation hasn’t failed

i had a ablation may 13th for AVRNT. all was going great few episodes of POTS syndrome just heart a bit racy in mornings standing up etc but nothing above 117 beats.

today however i had two episodes where heart went straight to 150 recorded it on my kardia monitor. came to ED and waiting to see cardiologist.

is this normal to run this high? i know leaflet says palpitations can occur but this was just like the attacks i had previously before ablation.

feeling a bit scared and just down.

has anyone had any similar experiences after ablation?

thank you

margaret

I had my first ablation Jan 25th I was fine for 7 weeks then the episodes started again but different rhythm I now have a junctional rhythm and waiting for ablation number 2.. I did have lots of missed and added beats for the first 4 weeks I mean a lot too almost every breath it wasn’t pleasant but I had to drum it in to myself that it was the healing process. sorry your back in hospital it’s so disheartening isn’t it really hits home. I feel for you. Hope it’s just a blip in the healing process.

i am back home and feel fine now had two episodes in ED where heart went into 140s my cardiologist came down to see me said it was unusual but he wasn’t fully sure what is going on. he did say that it could be atrial tacycardia which he said is harder to fix and treat.

he told me when it happens again to record the entire episode on my phone so he can see how it breaks which will give him more of an idea what is going on.

could be just part of recovery although i’m not sure he was convinced of this.

staying positive that mayb this is part of recovery but at least it’s not dangerous and can’t harm my heart which i must of asked ten times.lol

onwards and upwards for now

thanks for messages :-)

I had a few episodes of very high HR post ablation within my first 3 months, then almost magically after 3 months and stopping flecianide I've been in NSR for the past 4 weeks with no high HR incidents.
