Barts today.

Well I am due at Barts today for review. Af been busy last few months. Running over 110 much of the time. So expect I will have to have something 'orrible' done again before long. (3 ablations already). 3rd pm due within 12 months.

Been taking furosemide 40 mg. Otherwise I gain weight quickly. But Does anyone know if it makes your kidneys more lazy. As these days once I have wee'd a few times in the morning. All slows down greatly. Also I used to have to get up 2-3 times per night. Not anymore. (Which i quite like).

I suppose the af taking its toll now on my heart.

My daughter suggests i ask for spirolactone ???

Any advice please.

I would have expected it to make you pee a lot more as it's quite a powerful duretic..... Are you drinking enough?

Good luck today, I've had 5 ablations and the 5th one is the one that really made the progress so don't be too dis-heartened(!)
