Is it normal to have chest, neck and throat pain in the second to 3rd day after ablation? I had my first ablation on Friday afternoon, felt fine Saturday morning, came home from the hospital and have been feeling worse since. I’m in NSR, but my pulse is low - in the high 40’s - and my throat and chest are really tight. Hard to breathe. I have to assume this gets better in a couple of days. I can’t sleep due to the inability to breathe comfortably.

Sounds normal . Have you read our fact sheet on Recovering from Ablation? The throat discomfort is likely due to intubation during the procedure (TOE etc) and you heart HAS been severly assaulted even though you don't have a giant zip up your chest. If it congtinues much longer ring your arrhythmia nurse if you are worried.
I know if I was finding it hard to breathe after an ablation and suffering soreness (have had three and not had anything like that) I would be straight off to A&E. You may have an infection, who knows? There is no harm in getting it checked out, people go to A&E with a cut finger and we're talking about your heart here.

Yes, yes, and more yes.
Chest pain is so normal it's ridiculous. What the EP team probably didn't tell you is how many cardioversions you had when undergoing the ablation procedure. My chest ached for a week and the burn from the cardio version is evident by just looking at your chest. Coconut oil works best right on the skin several times a day.
