I didn't see the comment but we have had similar complaints before. I have no patience with it. I have worked for many years as a Special Needs Literacy teacher and know the difficulties some people face in expressing themselves. Also as this is an informal forum I have no problem with informal expression. When someone is in distress or someone is responding in a kind way grammar should be the least of our worries.

Stopping here before full rant mode kicks in!

Thank you the remarks were minor

But certainly uncalled for

Lots of people now text from their phones and I consider myself a decent grammarian but the auto-correct sometimes will hyper auto-correct or exchange the right word for an incorrect one! Yikes!

Yes and ThankYou.

Can certainly be a problem.

But I received a complaint which stated the Reader couldn’t understand

what I was saying!

She lives in Hawaii and complained

about my Grammar.

Nothing Medical.

Her Text message contained dreadful

American slang .

Can be seen on earlier messages.

Regards and Thanks

I agree with you 100%, but they may have put "Don't understand", because they really didn't and needed a clearer explanation. We rarely have any adverse comments like that on this forum and lots of people would soon pitch in if we did, but I must admit we have had a few just slightly that way recently.

Courtesy and kindness cost nothing.

Jean

So long as a person can make themselves understood, I have no issue with spelling and grammar.

Where it alters meaning and someone is hard to follow, we can ask for clarification without being disrespectful.

It is an informal forum (or should be) for serious questions and people just need to be nice to eachother or not comment at all.

Thanks for your common-sense answer

Agreed Totally

Absolutely agree . We should also be aware that there are some members of this forum who do not have English as a first language . Whatever....there is no need for anyone to be a ' clever dick' with their comments.
