Rapid heart rate

So lately I have just been having a lot of ectopic beats. But twice in the last two weeks I have had episodes of racing heart. It last for just a few minutes at about 130 - 140 and in between I have the odd ectopic. My next appointment with my cardiac nurse is not until October. Does this sound like something I should worry about as now my anxiety is so high. I have had a 7 day holter and an echo and all were fine, any advice would be great, thank you x

I'd telephone your cardiac nurse and ask her opinion on what's happening with your heart.

I agree with jeanjeanie50 you need to contact your cardiac nurse. There are loads of reasons for episodes of racing heart. Most of them are banal.

There are some things you can do if they happen again. You can do them without medical advice since they will not do you any harm. Slow deep breathing is the first one. Try also the Valsalva maneuver.
