Yes, a few times I've felt like a darkness descend over me as though I was going to pass out, but just on the point of doing so I come back to normality. Since becoming more aware of the need to breathe deeply I no longer experience this. The very second you become aware of your heartbeat behaving oddly or this starting to happen take deep breaths.

Have had it a couple of times. Like an alien had instantly removed the blood from my head!! Didn’t feel like I was going to faint, but did wonder if I was dying!! Glad to say I seem to have grown out of it.

I get the buzz when I have af and my heart seems to reset it's self like automatic cardioversion, it can also cause me to have fainting/blackouts after the buzz
I have been on the same Flec dose for 5 years, once or twice I took it when the stomach was not quiet empty (i.e. within 4 hours of a meal) or eaten in less than an hour afterwards and felt nauseous. I have no experience of Bishop but if your experiences trouble then maybe you talk to your cardiologist to reduce your dosage.
Yes it is a wierd feeling, I had it occasionally. Suspect it is just another mild side effect from our little helper flecainide.
Hi AC - DC it might be helpful to have your B/P checked and your Pulse when this happens. I have had those sensations and turned out I had a drop in my HR and with irregular beats along with long pauses up to 8 seconds. I now have a pacemaker. It can be dangerous if you drive so I would recommend a visit to your MD and give them a heads up. Best of luck to you. Sarah.
Have you had any problems of this nature since having your pacemaker fitted? Did you have to wait long for a diagnosis and implantation?
Hi Ianc2, I live in San Diego and waited about a month to get my PM implanted. I know longer have those waves of Bradycardia but of course the ectopics persist which Is directly related to that darn Vegas nerve. I try not to put any pressure on it and wear loose clothing around the middle. Hydration is also a biggie so drink h2o well. Hope this helps!! Sarah
Thanks for the feedback. I shall be seeing my cardiologist shortly. Electronic BP machines don't work with me, so I am trying to gain an understanding of what is going on.
Well yes. It’s hard to put them on your arm by yourself. Maybe ask a neighbor you know we’ll enough to help. If that’s the issue.
