Well since reducing the Bisoprolol dose I've had a bit more energy the last few weeks. I've actually felt like doing stuff outside of work, done a bit of gardening, evening dog walks on a weekend as no school runs etc.

Walking pace has gone from steady (1 mile morning 1 mile afternoon and about 6 miles around work) to brisk/fast on the school runs. HR only climbed to 116 this morning after 25 minutes fast walking and then settled at 70-80 resting up from 60-65 when on the full dose bisoprolol.

My job has changed, as I'm still none clinical til EP appointment in June BUT our Ward Receptionist has left. It's a job I did when I first started in the NHS and I offered to go back to.

I did Monday morning before other half's nights and instantly regretted it but I'm sure it won't be that bad all the time.

Am I getting any symptoms? Yes.... I think I'm getting the odd skip/flutter if I'm brutally honest but by the time I stop to notice it it goes.

And I've not worn my measuring device for some time. I'm going to wear it and just set the HR to monitor:

between 6:30-7am (either walking to work or resting in bed depending)

Between 3-3:30pm (either a school run or at work)

Just to get me some snapshot data for the EP really.

I do still occasionally check my HR manually but the trace on my phone app hasn't picked anything up that looks different to how I usually look.

Hoping the upward curve continues - though with this little bit of tissue on the right they couldn't isolate still lingering I'm not counting any chickens.

You realise I had to scroll back up and recheck your spelling as my brain read what it was supposed to say anyway 😂😂 Glad to hear you have more energy.

I did the same as Kaz, hadn't noticed the spelling and had read it as it was supposed to say. As long as we understand what you mean it really doesn't matter. I shudder when I read some of my posts and see my errors! Pleased to hear that you're doing so well.

Sounds good, can't wait the same to come off the bisoprolol, how long did you wait before coming off jedi, and did you taper it if just stop as il be coming off it after a few more weeks.

11/12 weeks on the full dose then reducing, was advised by the EP that it was "up to me" when I discontinued the use. He's previously advocated my stopping it completely, which I did after flutter ablation. On this occasion I've titrated it down over the last few weeks and noticed a gradual improvement in energy levels, and a reduction in fatigue despite the increased activity.

I got the same "just stop it" and its up to me, but I think il do the same wait until things settle a couple of month then ask my gp to Lower it then taper off over a week or so gradually, good to hear your firing on all cylinders again, I think bisoprolol for me is part of the tiredness.

Well I still get tired, it's only been a few weeks since tapering/stopping and realistically it's probably going to be another 1-2 weeks before I can say it's "all gone"

I stopped the flecanide at 8 weeks when it exacerbated the flutter episode I had, and the apixaban stopped at 10 weeks.

I have resisted restarting the anti inflammatories for my knee pain unless it is an occasional dose post-work, I'm trying my very best to work through it and at least at the moment whilst I'm none clinical I am managing.

It is quite liberating to not be on ANY medications regularly, and only taking the "odd dose" where I feel I need it (ie painkillers)

I do keep an entire day's pills in a capsule on my house keys though with my medical history and what pills I'm "usually on" when in AF.

Just in case.

Must be a great feeling not pill popping, I'm hoping for the same fir the future, though at my age I think he said keep the apixaban on as he considered it good practice after the op etc. Glad to hear though it's more level for you I know it was a tough slog early days even though its not easy now, at least it's on the up.

Well- I had an ablation 3 years ago and have had no problem since!

I came off bisoprolol but stayed on Apixaban as a precaution!

Do hope you get sorted- bisoprolol made me so tired.
