Good afternoon you lot, how long have you had to wait for echo results, I’ve chased the ep nurses and haven’t heard a thing. I had my echo on the 8th of June, I am taking 2.5mg of bisoprolol morning and night and sometimes my resting heart rate is low 40’s. Taking the blockers for pvcs which are still there but nowhere near as frequent. I would love to drop the evening dose as I’m a bit of a zombie at the minute. Thanks in advance.
Echo results.: Good afternoon you lot... - Atrial Fibrillati...
Echo results.
It depends where you live but I would say that up to 8/10 weeks wouldn't be unusual. Of course you would expect anything requiring urgent attention to be flagged up earlier. It doesn't hurt to keep chasing though.
When I had the scan the lady said on first impressions everything looked good, still nothing like seeing it on paper, I would love to find out so i change these meds. Thank you for your response.
I had one a few months ago and got the results in under two weeks, I've never had to wait longer than that.
Thats good. Obviously depends where you live. 6 weeks has been the norm in my area apart from earlier this year when I had a private one and cardiologist was in attendance with technician so I had immediate result !😁
At least 6 weeks here on the Isle of Wight
I've always been given my results on the spot - never had a written result
My results took 2 months and then only got them because I was in a and e for afib.
Got an email today saying there was nothing untoward, I’ll take that 👌🏻
I guess this is one of the few good things about care here - I had 2 echos done in the last few years and my results within 5 days the last time, and within a week the first time . (Seattle, WA US)
Hi, I have always had results within 10 days, so keep hassling. Heart rate seems low and bisoprolol will bring it down. Talk to doc about this, why are you on it. If for BP other medicines are available that do not affect heart rate as much as bisoprolol.
I’ve got an mri booked then will speak to my ep, feel ok just not enough energy.
My blood pressure is always good.
Achant1 here's a quote. Bisoprolol: medicine to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) - NHS. So if your BP is ok and your heart rate is low question is why were you prescribed it. I'd have thought there may be more appropriate drugs. Whats your MRI going to look at, maybe thats a clue.
